The Location of Koh Samui

Koh Samui is a beautiful tropical island located in the Gulf of Thailand (East coast) about 700 kilometers from Bangkok (the capital city of Thailand). There are several ways to get to Samui from Bangkok. Bus and train (and ferry) is two budget alternatives, but a much more convinient and fast option is a flight with Bangkok Airways.


The Location of the Villa

Baan Laan Dao Villa is located in Bang Por (also spelled "Bang Po") in Northern Koh Samui. The villa is approximately 5 minutes drive to the beach, 15 minutes to Bophut Fisherman’s village and 20 minutes to the airport and Chaweng.

Due to the villas location a motor vehicle is essential. There are many rental car hire companies on the island so this can be arranged easily.
